Ruud van Nistelrooy has been confirmed as the new Leicester City manager.
Van Nistelrooy joins after the Foxes sacked Steve Cooper after just 14 games in charge.
The 48-year-old was available after recently leaving Manchester United, where he worked under Erik ten Hag before briefly taking over as interim manager after his dismissal.
Having scored 150 times for Manchester United he is blessed with Premier League experience and will now be tasked with keeping Leicester up, with the East Midlanders currently 16th in the table.

Upon confirmation as the new Leicester boss, the Foxes released a statement on the official club website which read: “We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Ruud van Nistelrooy as Leicester City’s new First Team Manager.
“The 48-year-old Dutchman joins us with a wealth of experience at the highest level of the game, both as a player and a coach, and has agreed terms on a contract to June 2027.
“Ruud will arrive in the UK in time to be in attendance for our Premier League trip to Brentford on Saturday, before assuming full First Team responsibilities from Sunday.”

Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s first message to Leicester City fans
Leicester fans are excited by Van Nistelrooy’s appointment and the Dutchman is also eager to get started at the King Power Stadium.
In his first message to Foxes fans around the world, he said: “I’m proud, I’m excited. Everybody that I speak to about Leicester City Football Club is enthusiastic.
“They have great stories about the quality of the people working at the Club, the supporters and, of course, the recent history of the Club is impressive.
“I’m excited to start and to get to know everyone and give everything I can for the Football Club.”
