West Ham are unlikely to have any money to spend in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
The Irons have been linked with Atalanta star forward Ademola Lookman and other attackers after their slow start to the 2024-25 campaign.
However, sources say it would be a “surprise” if Irons chiefs sanctioned more big-money spending in the mid-season window.
West Ham launched a mammoth transfer spend at the London Stadium in the summer window, with more than £120million (as per Transfermarkt) of new signings arriving at the club.
Tim Steidten and Julen Lopetegui have come under fire after the Irons’ struggles but pressure has been alleviated with a 2-1 win over Man United last time out (27 October).

Lopetegui was backed heavily in the summer, his first window at the club, and it is believed he will not be given significant funds to improve the squad in the new year.
Max Kilman, Crysencio Summerville and Aaron Wan-Bissaka were among the 10 new signings to make the move to the London Stadium in the summer.
