DEAL CONFIRMED:Brendan Rodgers has given up and signed his resignation letter…

Celtic will look to continue their dream start to the new season as they welcome Scottish Championship high-fliers Falkirk to Celtic Park in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final.

Brendan Rodgers’ side enter the game buoyed by a dominant 5-1 win over Slovan Bratislava in their Champions League opener earlier in the week and will be hoping to complete a perfect week by securing a semi-final berth in Glasgow on Sunday.

Falkirk will head to Celtic Park in confident mood though, having already dumped Hearts out of the cup with a 2-0 win in the last round. The Bairns also sit pretty at the top of Scottish Championship having won all five of their opening league games.

For Celtic, Rodgers will need to decide if he keeps faith with the same starting XI for the third game in a row, or introduces fresh legs, with the likes of Luke McCowan, James Forrest and Auston Trusty all hoping to gain some much needed game time.
