DEAL CONFIRMED: Rangers has agreed deal to sign a world-class star due to…
Rangers attacker Zak Lovelace picked up an injury while representing the B Team against Clyde on Tuesday evening.
The 18-year-old, who’s played multiple games for the senior side, was handed a start by David McCallum.
However, he suffered an injury blow in the 35th minute and received treatment, but could not carry on and was taken off for Archie Stevens.
Rangers youngster Zak Lovelace will not want another injury layoff
Thus far, there is no update from the club as to how serious the setback is.
Lovelace has faced injury issues in the past as well and the last he would want is for another lengthy spell on the sidelines.
At 18, players need to be playing as much as possible, regardless of the level, and focusing on injury rehabs certainly will derail their development.
He has been earmarked to be a first-team regular for the senior side in the future and making his debut at 17 shows that he’s on the right track.
That said, injuries at such a young age can have adverse effects so the club physios need to ensure they take utmost care of the teenager.
Hopefully, the injury is nothing serious and he can be back in action within the next few days and continue his quest to become a first-team regular.
