DE AL DONE;Nottingham Forest and Manchester united agree terms and conditions over a young star 20
The relationship between Forest and United in recent years hasn’t been too rosy when it comes to the Reds trying to do business with the club in the transfer market.
Now, with United starting to do some digging around the availability of Danilo, Forest have a chance to hand the club a dose of their own medicine.
Nottingham Forest can gazump Manchester United over Danilo
Reports earlier this week claimed that United had now started to ask Forest questions about Danilo.
However, Forest must be feeling somewhat mischievous.
In 2021, Forest landed James Garner for a first loan spell and after impressing he returned on loan for the entire 2021/22 campaign.
The midfielder was immense, proving himself as a top Championship midfielder and helping Forest return to the Premier League for the first time in 23 years.
When it came to the end of the season, Forest tried to sign Garner permanently yet kept getting knocked back.
It was claimed that Erik ten Hag was going to have a look at him during pre-season and Forest went in search of new midfielders.
As Garner headed off on a tour of the USA to play very little football, Forest completed their squad and the midfielder wasn’t part of it.
Lo and behold, just weeks later, United did decide to sell Garner and let him join Everton for just £15 million.
Last summer, Forest encountered the same difficulties with Dean Henderson.
