Confirmed:Dujon Sterling injury update emerges for Rangers v Kilmarnock clash…

Dujon Sterling may miss the Rangers game against Kilmarnock on Wednesday, according to Philippe Clement.

The Belgian confirmed that he has a blocked nerve and will have to see a specialist for that and did not play the 1-0 win over St Johnstone.

However, he refused to confirm that the 25-year-old will be fit enough for the game at Ibrox on 4 December.

Clement said, as quoted by the BBC: “Dujon is unlucky, because it’s not a real injury.

“It’s a blocked nerve, so he has to see a specialist to unblock it, to get treatment and because of that, he was not available today.

“We will see if he’s available on Wednesday or not. It’s not a long-term thing, but those things happen.”

Rangers likely to get clarity on Dujon Sterling injury come Monday

A specialist might consider more invasive options like surgery, though this seems less likely given Clement’s comments on it not being a long-term issue.

If Sterling’s condition responds well to the specialist’s treatment, he might avoid more invasive procedures.

Assuming the nerve issue is resolved efficiently, his participation in training on Monday and Tuesday could indeed put him back in contention for the starting eleven on Wednesday.

However, this depends significantly on how quickly the nerve recovers and if there are no lingering effects from the treatment.

If he’s not cleared until Tuesday or early on Wednesday, it would be beneficial to keep him on the bench and then bring him on.

There’s a good chance that Gers get clarity about the severity of his injury later on Monday itself.

In other Rangers news, a sale of a big-money Gers player in 2025 has been mooted after what happened recently.
