Clement on Rangers’ set-piece struggles and January transfer window
Philippe Clement has been speaking to the media ahead of Rangers’ meeting with Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership. Here’s everything he had to say from the embargoed section.
Philippe Clement has dismissed speculation linking him to a potential vacancy as Belgium’s head coach and reiterated his long term commitment to Rangers.
Clement, who was previously linked with a move to Anderlecht in September, said: ‘I don’t want to go into rumours about players, so I’m not going to go into rumours about those things.

‘But I was really clear about what I said a few weeks ago. I engaged myself for the long term to Rangers.
‘And I’m not going to change my mind on that. So I think it’s very clear. I hope now in the future, if something else comes up, that you don’t come with this question anymore.’
Clement, meanwhile, has confirmed that Dutch defender Neraysho Kasanwirjo faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury while on under-21 international duty against England in midweek.
The 22-year-old has returned to parent club Feyenoord to be assessed and is expected to undergo surgery next week.

Neraysho Kasanwirjo had been making an impression for Rangers but is now injured
The versatile Kasanwirjo had been making an increasingly positive impact for Clement who will now seek a replacement for him in the January transfer window.
‘It’s a blow for us and for the player,’ said Clement. ‘I can confirm that it’s his knee, I cannot confirm what the precise injury is because the surgeon first needs to look at it.
‘There are different opinions. So we need to be precise and correct. We should know more this weekend.

‘Nana played right-back, left-back, and also centre-back for us. So it’s in three positions we miss him. That’s something to think about towards January also. We need to see which funds we have to solve it in that way.’
