Chelsea star Cole Palmer delivers cryptic injury update ahead of Arsenal clash
Chelsea talisman Cole Palmer remains a major fitness worry ahead of Sunday’s huge London derby against Arsenal, but fans have been buoyed by one of his new social media posts
Cole Palmer has sparked fresh speculation over his fitness on the eve of Chelsea‘s huge London derby with Arsenal with a new social media post.
The Blues talisman was on the receiving end of an awful tackle from Lisandro Martinez in last weekend’s draw against Manchester United and there have been question marks over whether he’d be fit for Sunday’s big match all week.
Palmer, 22, was in attendance at Chelsea’s thumping 8-0 win over FC Noah in midweek, although head coach Enzo Maresca was coy when questioned on the England midfielder’s availability on Friday.
Chelsea would love to be able to call upon Palmer for Sunday’s crunch clash given his fine form so far this term: the attacking midfielder has seven goals to his name in the 10 Premier League matches the Blues have played so far with a further five assists to boot.
Palmer has also been included in Lee Carsley‘s final England squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures against Greece and the Republic of Ireland during the international break.Fans were buoyed by the sight of Palmer’s presence in midweek, though Maresca moved to temper expectations after he was seeing grabbing dinner at Stamford Bridge. The Blues head coach refused to rule him out completely, though.
