Breaking News:Todd Cantwell final Rangers message as he tells fans ‘don’t believe all you read’ after transfer request

Todd Cantwell has delivered his farewell message to Rangers fans – and urged them: “don’t believe all you read”.

 

The midfielder completed his £500k switch to Blackburn Rovers after slapping in a transfer request and telling manager Philippe Clement he did not want to play his football in the Scottish Premiership. His move was confirmed earlier this evening and he promised to let his football do the talking, a vow perhaps not followed during his time at Ibrox.

Still, the former Norwich City man explained to punters this evening via his Instagram account that it was an “honour” to play for the club as he signed off “mon the Gers”.

He wrote: “It was an absolute honour to play for this special football club. Please do not believe all what you read in the press. I wish everyone well for the future.

Cantwell had his fair share of awkward moments during his stint in Glasgow including a feud with Celtic hero Chris Sutton as well as the infamous “shushburge
