Scottish Premiership Giants Rangers FC have made an offer for Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. The Eagles have decided to loan out the English winger this summer following a previous loan stint at Charlton Atheltic in the 2022/23 season.
According to journalist Alan Nixon, the Glasgow-based outfit have matched Palace’s offer for the winger’s loan move. The Glaziers have demanded a loan fee for Jesurun.
Additionally, Palace also demand that the full wages be paid by the loanee club. Rangers expect to swoop the winger away by matching The Londoners’ offer following an opening game draw against Hearts.
Other clubs in the race include Leeds United, Southampton, Sheffield United and Queens Park Rangers. Reports suggest that QPR have also made a competitive bid for the services of Rak-Sakyi.
The 21-year-old has been the talk of the town in this season’s transfer market. Jesurun had an impressive spell at Charlton Athletic in the 2022/23 season which has prompted interest from many clubs.
He scored 25 goals across 50 appearances in all competitions for Charlton. However, last season was on the bitter side for the youngster as he incurred a serious hamstring injury against Tottenham.
Rak-Sakyi managed only eight first-team appearances last season limited by his injury. The winger also played for Crystal Palace’s U21 side scoring a hat-trick against Tottenham in the process. In total, he scored four goals in three outings for The Eagles’ U21 side.
As various clubs want to get their hands on the youngster, Leeds must also look into other options if the Jesurun plan goes south. The Whites can manage the finances for Jesurun but the decision ultimately rests upon the winger.
It is also important to note that The West Yorkshire outfit hasn’t made any further moves in regards to the Englishman. There have been only two players that The 49ers have bid for this season.
