BREAKING NEWS;Sean Dyche announces the retirement of a super star

Everton have had an interesting window heading into the new season, with Sean Dyche conducting business to ensure another relegation battle isn’t on the horizon.

The Toffees secured the loan signing of Jesper Lindstrom from Napoli, with Everton also spending big to sign Olympique Lyonnais defender Jake O’Brien, with the Goodison Park side looking evens stronger at the back now.

With Everton also chasing Maxence Lacroix as well as Chelsea striker Armando Broja, the Merseyside giants could have a few more signings in the pipeline if they can find the resources needed to complete a number of deals.

And one rumored target could now be a lot easier to sign this summer.

Everton-linked Vitor Roque’s agent pushing for FC Barcelona exit

According to Mundo Deportivo, Vitor Roque’s agent has alerted FC Barcelona that he wants the Brazilian striker to move on this summer, with Everton already having a €28m (£24m) bid rejected for the forward.

Hailed as ‘extraordinary’ by Foot the Ball, Everton have been in discussions to sign Roque this summer, who only joined Barcelona in January having established himself as one of the most exciting talents in all of Brazil.

With Everton in need of a striker and one that has the potential to grow into something quite special, Dyche would find it hard to identify a more ideal forward for next season than Roque, especially with the attacker open to leaving Barcelona.

With a bid already rejected, Everton already have one foot in the door with Barcelona when it comes to negotiating for Roque, and an agreement could soon be reached for the Brazilian youngster if all parties can get on board with a deal.

Roque could be worth the gamble for Everton this summer

Roque struggled to hit the ground running at Barcelona despite arriving for a big transfer fee and plenty of hype from Brazil, factors that could put some Everton fans off the striker moving to Goodison Park.
