Breaking News:Ridvan Yilmaz latest: Chris Jack shares update on exit-linked Rangers ace…

Rangers fans have discovered the latest on the injury list at Ibrox, following the closure of the Scottish transfer window.

Chris Jack of the Rangers Review (7 February) delivered an update on players such as Leon Balogun, Dujon Sterling and Ridvan Yilmaz, whose future has been uncertain in recent days due to interest from Besiktas.

The Turkish transfer window does not close until 11 February which means an exit still cannot be ruled out for the left-back, who has missed the last three games after an injury sustained following the Europa League trip to Manchester United (23 January).

Ridvan Yilmaz back in Rangers training

Jack posted on his X account (7 February) with a brief update, claiming Yilmaz and Leon King are both now back in training in Govan.

Danilo is set to return to the training field next week according to the report, while Sterling and Balogun are back on the grass the following week.

The news comes as a significant boost for Philippe Clement, who has been experimenting with young prospects of late but will soon have more selection freedom.

Jack shared: “Danilo will start training next week. Week after for Sterling and Balogun. Yilmaz and King back in training.”

Focus turns to the Scottish Cup this weekend, with Sunday’s fifth-round tie (9 February) against fellow Glaswegians Queen’s Park at Ibrox.

Clement likely to rotate this Sunday

While Queen’s Park are a full-time side and a different world from previous cup opponents Fraserburgh, Clement is expected to make changes to his team.

It remains very possible that several young prodigies will get another chance to impress in front of the home crowd, having made some encouraging cameos.

Rangers are as good as certain to finish second this season in the Scottish Premiership, sitting 13 points behind Celtic at the top and 16 points clear of third-placed Dundee United.

This campaign is now becoming more about establishing a springboard for next season, while putting all eggs into the basket of the Europa League, having secured an automatic bye to the last 16.
