BREAKING NEWS:Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has been suspended due to….
For a second straight practice, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was not practicing. According to the injury report, Jackson missed Wednesday with back and knee injuries.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh labeled his absence on Wednesday as a rest day, but that does not appear the case after his repeated absence.
“[He had] a rest day. He’s been playing great, and we have a lot of football in front of us,” Harbaugh said. “We have another big game coming up, so that was warranted today.”
More concerning, the Ravens are scheduled to play two games in five days as they play at home against the Denver Broncos (5-3) on Sunday and the Cincinnati Bengals (3-5) Thursday, Nov 7.
Along with Jackson, numerous defense line players were absent on on Thursday as Broderick Washington (knee), Travis Jones (ankle) and Brent Urban (concussion) were all not on the practice field. They’re also without nose tackle Michael Pierce, who was placed on injured reserve with a calf injury. The lone healthy defensive lineman on the roster practicing was Nnamdi Madubuike.
