Rangers will be aiming to make a serious challenge for the Premiership title in 2024-25.

Philippe Clement’s side have made several quality additions to the squad including Robin Propper, Hamza Igamane, and Václav Černý.

But they are still in the transfer market to add more depth as they continue to be linked with several top players.

Estadio Deportivo reports that Rangers are one of the clubs interested in signing Sevilla’s Joan Jordan.

The 30-year-old is clearly not part of García Pimienta’s plans for the next season and they are looking to offload him this summer.

The Gers reportedly approached the Spanish outfit over a loan move for Jordan but failed to reach an agreement on a split of wages. The player’s representatives have now denied any talks with the Scottish giants.

Deportivo Alaves have also been linked an interest but they are willing to cover only 20 percent of his current salary, which is not acceptable for Sevilla.

Jordan joined the Rojiblancos in the summer of 2019 for a €14 million fee.

He went on to establish himself as a key member of the first-team, making 198 senior appearances and scoring seven goals. The Spaniard also lifted two Europa League trophies with Sevilla.

However, the experienced midfielder has struggled for game time during the last two years at the club. He was limited to only eight La Liga appearances last term, with four of them coming off the bench.

Rangers are interested in signing him but they are not willing to pay his enormous wages.
