BREAKING NEWS;Rangers vs Dundee Fc SPFL Premiership match has been rescheduled few minutes ago

RANGERS emerged from the chaos of Sunday’s Old Firm derby with a share of the spoils and now have the chance to move back above Celtic at the SPFL Premiership summit with a victory in Dundee.

Both myself and our man Mark fancied Gers to claim a huge win over the Hoops in front of a partisan crowd at the weekend but Philippe Clement’s men found themselves 2-0 down at half-time after being totally outplayed by their rivals.

A hugely controversial VAR penalty award got the Ibrox side back in business and they duly levelled only for Celtic to race back up the park and claim a 3-2 lead to silence the home crowd once more.

Rabbi Matondo’s stunner in injury-time stopped the champions from opening up a four-point lead and Rangers will now be looking to go top when they play their game in hand at Dens Park.

A waterlogged pitch caused this match to be postponed before the international break and it could be in danger again with more heavy rain forecast for midweek in Tayside.

Dens Park had to pass two late pitch inspections on Saturday before Dundee’s game with Motherwell went ahead and the Dark Blues blew a 2-0 lead as Well roared back to claim a massive three points.

That stopped Dundee from sealing their place in the top six and a three-way fight with the Steelmen and Hibs for the final slot will ensue this weekend if Tony Docherty’s side lose once more to Rangers.

But the pitch could be a great leveller and Docherty will be determined to guarantee a place in the top half of the table by springing a shock against Gers.

Rangers have won their last eight games against Dundee, including a 5-0 battering when they last came to Dens Park in November. The Dark Blues last beat the Ibrox giants in 2017, with Mark O’Hara’s double sealing a 2-1 win at Dens.
