Rangers forward Hamza Igamane is at risk of facing retrospective action from the SFA after a “disgraceful” incident in the win over St Johnstone, according to Keith Hackett.
Philippe Clement’s side saw off St Johnstone 3-1 in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday (12 January) to ease some of the pressure on the Belgian head coach.
Igamane opened the scoring after 16 minutes, amid a backdrop of fan protests, but he could be in trouble for attempting to deceive the officials shortly before being subbed off in the second half.
The in-form attacker chucked himself to the ground and rolled around clutching his leg after being slightly nudged by Barry Douglas.
After reviewing the footage, former FIFA official Hackett exclusively told Ibrox News: “The actions of Igamane are frankly disgraceful.
“He should have received an immediate yellow card for a clear act of simulation. Because the referee failed to sanction this, the Scottish FA should review and take retrospective action.”

First and foremost, the theatrics on show from Igamane in the second half at Ibrox were quite frankly embarrassing.
The Moroccan was trying to buy his side a penalty, but the contact from Douglas was minimal at best and did not warrant the reaction if got.
Rangers fans will fully forgive him, though, as his goal against St Johnstone made it 12 for the season in the Scottish Premiership and Europa League combined, leading to inevitable exit talk.

Half of those goals have come in his past five outings, so let’s just hope no retrospective action is indeed forthcoming from those in charge.
