Breaking News:Rangers secure 80 percent increase with record breaking new shirt deal

Rangers have signed their biggest-ever shirt sponsorship deal after extending their partnership with betting company Kindred.

Their brand Unibet will continue featuring on the front of the club’s strips while 32 Red will adorn training and warm-up kits.

It’s understood the continuation of the ten-year partnership, the longest-running of its kind in British football, will bring in a guaranteed 80 per cent increase in revenue from next season. And that figure can be pushed even higher, to 93 per cent, if bonuses are achieved.

Sources insist this makes the deal the most lucrative in the club’s history by some distance and is seen as a cornerstone deal that gives Rangers additional financial security.

The arrangement came after the club was approached with lucrative offers by other brands in the betting space. The decision to remain in partnership with Kindred reflects learnings from the marketplace in England where Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forrest have had issues with obscure brands.

Kindred remain a globally recognised brand and commit to social responsibility around their product – both key factors for the club.

Rangers Chief Commercial Officer, Karim Virani, said: “Everyone at the club is absolutely delighted to extend our long-standing partnership with the Kindred Group.

“This partnership is the longest running of its kind in British football – and has helped the club enormously over the dura

tion of the deal.

Most importantly, we’d like to thank them for continuing their vital support of the club’s Foundation – especially through the Team Talk mental health initiative.

“The health and wellbeing of our local community is very important to ourselves and Kindred.

“We are all looking forward to the opportunity to continue driving forward new initiatives that will benefit both our supporters and the people of Glasgow.”
