Breaking News:Rangers discover potential Champions League play-off opponents
Rangers will face either Red Bull Salzburg or FC Twente should they overcome Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League.
Rangers are investigating the displaying of a Nazi SS symbol on a banner during their game against Hearts at Tynecastle.
The Light Blues shared the points with the Gorgie side in a 0-0 draw on Saturday but images showed the banner displayed in the away section with the Totenkopf symbol.
It comes after the Club launched an investigation into a similar incident of a banner with the same logo during a game against Aberdeen at Ibrox in October 2023.
Rangers condemned the flag bearing the symbol known as the “death’s head” and said an investigation is under way.
It was used by the 3rd SS panzer division during the second world war – known for committing a slew of war crimes including the murder of millions of people at concentration camps.
They also perpetrated 1940 Le Paradis Massacre involving the murder of 97 British soldiers from the Royal Norfolk Regiment who had surrendered in Northern France.
UK Counter Terror police list the symbol among its guidance for officers monitoring white supremacist and far-right groups.
A Rangers spokesperson said: “We can confirm that we are aware of this matter.
“The club repeats its strong condemnation of the display of such imagery and confirms that an investigation is already underway.”
