BREAKING NEWS;Rangers and Celtic friendlies match has been postponed few minutes ago due to
Celtic face Rangers this afternoon in the first Glasgow Derby of the new season. Brendan Rodgers will be looking to continue his side’s impressive form and put Rangers to the sword.
The Scottish Champions have won their opening three games, scoring nine and conceding none but they’ll know that the form book goes out the window in these games.
Team News
Celtic will be able to call upon new signings Arne Engels, Luke McCowan, Alex Valle and Auston Trusty but it remains to be seen whether any of the players will be given the nod from the start. It is unlikely as the manager will start with the team that have impressed so far this season.
In goals, Kasper Schmeichel will start.
Expect a backline to consist of Alistair Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Liam Scales and Greg Taylor.
Callum McGregor will captain the side in the middle of the park with Reo Hatate and Paulo Bernardo.
In attack, Kyogo will lead the line with Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kühn on the right.
Referee Details
John Beaton has been appointed as referee for the game. The whistleblower took charge of the controversial 3-3 draw back in April. Beaton is assisted by Daniel McFarlane and Jonathan Bell. Meanwhile at Clydesdale House, Andrew Dallas is on VAR with Graeme Stewart assisting.
Kick Off Time
The game kicks off at 12:30 (Celtic Park Time).
Where to Watch
The game will be shown on Sky Sports Football and Main Event, with the coverage from Celtic Park commencing at 11:30am. The game will also be shown on Celtic TV for subscribers.
