Breaking News:Rangers best player have decided to leave and never return

With the Champions League deadline looming large all eyes are on who Rangers might bring into the club before August 1st.

A QR3 tie against Ukrainians Dynamo Kiev surely lies in wait with Rangers needing to register any new arrivals by the time August rolls around.

With the Scottish Premiership to kick off against Hearts this Saturday too, it appears a little too late to get anyone in on time to influence the trip to Tynecastle.

Speaking as pre-season winds to a close over the weekend, leading Rangers fan media outlet Heart & Hand have released a new Transfer Show before the campaign kicks off.

On it, they believe that Rangers are tailing three potential new signings with two of them at centre-half.

Whittaker a ‘legitimate’ Rangers target

One player who has been routinely linked to Rangers over the last 18 months is Plymouth attacker Morgan Whittaker.

The ex-Swansea City star was subject to a Rangers bid during his time in Wales and Rangers have reportedly had a £7m offer for Whittaker turned down this month.

Plymouth boss Wayne Rooney insists only ‘crazy’ money will tempt the Championship side but Heart & Hand are claiming the Rangers interest is legitimate.

What’s more, it’s been claimed that Rangers wouldn’t be pursuing a deal for the 20-goal attacker if they didn’t believe they could get it done.

“We’re continuing to be linked with Morgan Whittaker,” said Transfer Show host Simon Halloran. “As far as we’re aware, this is legit, that we’re wanting him.

“We wouldn’t be pursuing if we didn’t believe a deal could be done.”

Later Halloran added: “There is legitimate interest. It’s one to watch over the next couple of weeks, hopefully sooner if that comes to fruition.”

Rangers linked to centre-half pair

One area of the park where Rangers fans feel they’re in dire need of reinforcements is centre-half.

The club’s leaky defence capitulated at the end of last season and has been shipping goals this pre-season.

With vice-captain Connor Goldson also bound for Cypriot club Aris it’s left some serious questions hanging over the position.

According to Heart & Hand, Rangers are interested in a deal for FC Twente centre-back Mees Hilgers.

This comes a month or so on from when Twente sporting director Arnold Bruggink claimed reports of a Rangers bid were incorrect.

“The other one linked with supposed interest is the FC Twente centre-half, Mees Hilgers,” said Halloran. “He’s a 23-year-old, he’s not really forced his way as a complete regular for them.

“He’s averaging about 20 odd games a season. He looks a really good centre-half, still a bit young.
