Breaking News:Nottingham Forest star Chris Wood to sign ‘five-year’ deal just now
Nottingham Forest fans are desperate for the club to tie in-form striker Chris Wood down to a new deal after his remarkable start to the season.
According to journalist John Percy, the club have opened talks with the 32-year-old over a new deal with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season.
With seven Premier League goals in their opening nine games, only Erling Haaland and Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo sit above Wood in the scoring charts.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have inserted themselves in the conversation for European qualification after four wins, four draws, and just one defeat from their opening nine league games.

He has a great chance to add to his already impressive tally as they prepare to face strugglers West Ham on Saturday (November 2).
Nottingham Forest fans have urged the club to secure Chris Wood’s future at the City Ground with a new contract.
According to The Telegraph, the Premier League side are hopeful of quickly reaching an agreement on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The 32-year-old has made a sensational start to the new season and is the third top goalscorer in the Premier League with seven goals in nine appearances.

The New Zealand international is out of contract at Forest in the summer, but the club are keen to extend his stay at the City Ground.
The experienced striker has been a staple in the team since joining in 2023, making 51 appearances and scoring 23 goals.
