BREAKING NEWS;Nottingham Forest has finally announces the return of Rodrigo Ribeiro few minutes ago
Nottingham Forest are thought to be interested in signing a player who barely played during a previous spell on Trentside.
We’re officially at the silly season stage when it comes to the transfer window. Forest are being linked with every Tom, Dick and Harry in world football – or at least that’s what it feels like!
The Reds are after a striker. Santiago Gimenez and Eddie Nketiah are two linked with Forest and transfer guru Graeme Bailey told us which one the club would prefer to sign.
Last season, attacking options were in short supply and that almost cost Forest their Premier League status. However, Luton’s woeful form ensured the Reds remained in their top flight at their expense.
The loan market was used appallingly by Forest last season and with that in mind, the latest player linked with a move to Forest is a strange one, to say the least.
Rodrigo Ribeiro could return to Nottingham Forest
The Portuguese attacker joined Forest on loan for the second half of the 2023/24 campaign but barely made an appearance under Nuno Espirito Santo.
Now, according to A Bola, it’s believed that the Sporting Lisbon player could make a return to the City Ground before the transfer window closes.
Ribeiro has been with the senior squad at his current club for pre-season. At the weekend he wasn’t in the squad as a 6-1 win over Nacional was secured.
He did come on for a single minute during the opening-day win over Rio Ave, however, and he might have anticipated playing a part this season.
Now, it feels like he could be on the move again, with Forest linked to the player who played five times and accumulated just 15 minutes of game time at the club.
