Breaking News:Lawrence Shankland: Rangers deal update after £30m news – sources

Rangers could yet revive a deal for Hearts talisman Lawrence Shankland in the final weeks of the summer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Sources say the ship hasn’t yet sailed for Shankland, 29, to make the move to Ibrox before the 30 August.

The Scotland international is a long-term target for Rangers, who were interested in signing the striker in the January transfer window earlier this year.

Shankland has entered the final year of his contract with Hearts, who are nevertheless driving a hard bargain in negotiations for his services.

Sources say Rangers continue to work hard on bringing a new striker to the club before the 30 August deadline after loanees Fabio Silva and Abdallah Sima returned to their parent sides in the summer.
