BREAKING NEWS;Jose Mourinho to Leeds United now possible
Leeds United are in a good position, despite missing out on Premier League promotion last year.
Leeds proved to be one of the greatest Championship sides ever to miss out on promotion, suffering defeat to Southampton at Wembley in the Play-Off Final, which could have been a catastrophe for club but instead they are still looking strong.
They are joint second at present and just five points behind leaders Sunderland, so are very much in the mix for Premier League promotion yet again.
In truth, Leeds belong in the Premier League and always have, being branded by Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder as one of the six biggest clubs in the country.
He was left furious after being sent off by officials during the game and made his feelings clear about that after the game.
“I don’t want to speak about it,” Mourinho said, “(After the match) the referee told me something incredible. He said at the same time he could see the action in the box and my behaviour on the touchline.
“I congratulate him because he’s absolutely incredible, his peripheral vision during the game, 100 miles per hour, he had one eye on the penalty situation, and he had one eye on the bench and on my behaviour. So, that is the explanation he gave me, that’s why he is the one of the best referees in the world!”
Mourinho’s fury would see him finish off his press conference by claiming that he would be open to a return to England, for a club outside of Europe saying he is finished with playing in Uefa competitions and could instead go to a club that is battling relegation.
