Breaking News:Igamane makes Rangers exit declaration just hours after what Clement said…

Hamza Igamane has suggested his sights are set on a move away from Rangers amid interest in the striker during the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old has been in excellent form this season with 11 goals in all competitions leading to links away from Ibrox [Afrik Foot] during the transfer window.

However, Philippe Clement has stood firm and insisted that his star man is not for sale and will not be facing an exit from Ibrox.

Nevertheless, Igamane isn’t hiding his ambitions as he told The Scottish Sun: “Like any Moroccan footballer, my dream is to pull on the Morocco national team’s shirt.

“I equally want to help my club as much as possible.

“And, as a consequence, to play for a big club in Europe.”

Can Hamza Igamane push himself at Rangers?

Igamane’s comments should serve as a sobering reminder for Rangers of just how far they have fallen of late and also be used as motivation to get themselves back to top form.

Although the Gers are still competing in the Europa League, being 15 points behind arch-rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership certainly speaks volumes about the current stature of the team, which is far from good enough.

Clement isn’t keen to let his striker go during the transfer window and, at this stage, he is under no pressure to do so and should feel confident that Igamane should continue to work hard for him.

However, it has to noted that if the Light Blues fail to make any progress moving forward they could easily find themselves losing quality players like the 22-year-old with the desire to go and play at a higher level given that is not something being provided at Ibrox currently.

In other Rangers news, a £5million Gers star could be allowed to leave on loan this month.
