BREAKING NEWS:Ethan Ampadu has announce his departure finally
Leeds United could be set to trickle out news on plans to redevelop Elland Road in the coming weeks and months, according to CEO Angus Kinnear.
Leeds are looking to get back into the Premier League as soon as possible, having been relegated back in 2023 and suffering defeat in the playoff final back in May.
The 49ers have pumped a lot of money into rebuilding the club following their takeover, and one of the focuses has been how they improve the infrastructure, including Elland Road itself.
The minutes for August’s Supporters Advisory Board meeting have been published this week with several topcis discussed by CEO Angus Kinnear and those who attended.
Included in that was looking to improve the matchday experience for fans at Elland Road, including recent confirmed updates to the Centenary Square stones paid for by fans.
Kinnear also suggests that a “positive” update on redevelopment at Elland Road will come in the near future:
“AK asks fans to constantly feedback and if any sections of Elland Road immediately need action, to please raise issues. Club hopes to reveal some positive information in the near future regarding redevelopment.”
Elland Road is in dire need of redevelopment, expansion or not
As Hull fans chanted “Elland Road is falling down” prior to the international break, it was water off a duck’s back for Leeds fans, but they have a point.
Elland Road has been in need of some TLC for years, whether that be expanding to cope with season ticket demand, or just improving the cosmetics of the stadium and surrounding area.
What is encouraging to see is that the 49ers have that as a top priority for the coming months, hopefully fast-tracked in June with Leeds restoring their Premier League status.
