BREAKING NEWS;David Moyes tipped to take Wolves job after Gary O’Neil sack

David Moyes has been tipped to take over from Gary O’Neil should the Wolves boss lose his job amid growing pressure at Molineux.

This is according to Mick Brown, who worked closely with Moyes during his time at West Ham and left alongside him in June, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the Wolves job “would interest him” if it became available.

O’Neil’s side are currently winless in nine Premier League games, picking up just two points, which has led to them currently sitting in 19th place.

Results have been worse than their performances would suggest after coming from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 late on against Brighton, but concerns are continuing to grow.

Wolves have conceded two or more goals in seven consecutive games across all competitions and have shipped 25 goals in nine league games so far.

The lack of defensive stability, Brown insists, has been their biggest problem all season, and is something Moyes would be able to sort out.

The former West Ham boss had become synonymous with his pragmatic style based on maintaining a solid defence and building on it with more exciting forward players.

This, it has been said, would suit Wolves’ situation given the level of talent in their team.

David Moyes ‘interested’ in Wolves job amid Gary O’Neil pressure

Moyes’ success at the London Stadium saw him lead West Ham from a relegation battle to European success in his five years in charge.

Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, has insisted he should be in line to take over at Wolves if they pull the trigger on O’Neil after a poor run of results.

Wolves is one I think would interest him,” he told Football Insider.

“They’ve got a lot of ability, but they’re not getting results so eventually questions are going to be asked of the manager.
