Breaking News:Clinton Nsiala update emerges ahead of Rangers v Motherwell

Clinton Nsiala will now not even be on the bench as Rangers take on Motherwell on 10 August at Hampden.

Gers secured the signing of the 20-year-old when he left AC Milan and moved to Ibrox on a free transfer this summer.

He was handed an extension by the Italian club but he turned it down, potentially to get more first-team opportunities in Scotland.

However, he will have to wait for his first-team debut as he’s been included in the B Team game on Saturday against Derby County.

The French centre-back has been named in the starting eleven and it could be that Philippe Clement wants him to get used to the Scottish game before introducing him to senior football.

Clinton Nsiala will gradually be introduced to the Rangers setup

At 20 years old, he is a left-footed defender with a strong aerial presence, who’s known for his robust approach to the game.

Nsiala’s experience in AC Milan’s youth setup, particularly in the UEFA Youth League, indicates a high level of competition exposure, which should help him adapt to the demands of professional football at Gers.

Philippe Clement has shown a willingness to trust and develop young players and this signing makes sense from that aspect.

While Nsiala is not yet ready to be a starter, his potential and the club’s need for left-footed centre-back options suggest he could play a rotational role.

Easing him into the first team allows him to adapt to the new league and team dynamics while providing valuable experience and development opportunities.

This approach aligns with the club’s ambitions to compete for titles while nurturing young talents for the future.

In other Rangers news, Philippe Clement’s number one priority has been revealed as more transfers are eyed ahead of the 30 August transfer deadline.
