Celtic will have to face St Mirren in Paisley without their star man Matt O’Riley who is on his way to Brighton this weekend.
The Danish midfield playmaker, 23, will join the Premier League club for a record-breaking fee of £25million with add-ons taking it to closer to £30m and that means he will obviously not be in the matchday squad at the SMiSA Stadium for the Parkhead club.
It will come as a blow to Brendan Rodgers and his squad but one they hope to be prepared for with the transfer window closing in a week’s time. But until they get a replacement – Arne Engels and Mateusz Bogusz being the targets – in the door, Rodgers will have to pick his XI without O’Riley.

The Hoops’ Premiership campaign has got off to a strong beginning with comfortable wins over Kilmarnock and Hibs ensuring their unbeaten start. The Buddies, meanwhile, have won one and lost one as they’ve also been juggling European qualification and Stephen Robinson’s team have looked decent so far.
