Breaking News:Celtic & Brendan Rodgers sent ‘£25 million’ Adam Idah transfer message

Celtic still have a lot of work to do in the summer transfer market, with the window set to slam shut at the end of August and Adam Idah yet to arrive.

Brendan Rodgers is preparing his squad to face Hibernian on Sunday after they thrashed Kilmarnock for their season opener.

You feel Celtic’s squad might just look very different in a few weeks if certain deals get done.

Celtic have received a £25 million+ bid for Matt O’Riley and he could yet leave, with Idah also a wanted man.

The Republic of Ireland international spent a fruitful six months on loan at Parkhead last season, before returning to Norwich City this summer.

The 23-year-old helped Celtic beat Rangers in the Scottish Cup final by scoring a memorable stoppage-time winner – and now fans want him back, as soon as possible.

Idah has told Norwich he wants the Celtic move and he came off the bench as his side were beaten by newly-promoted Oxford United on Saturday.

Tam McManus thinks Idah has ‘all the attributes’ to work his magic for the Bhoys by highlighting his speed and physicality.

The former Hibs player then pointed towards how a ‘£6-7 million’ deal for the Irishman would mean ‘money very well spent’.

And then McManus has backed the kings of Scotland to sell the striker for ‘£25 million’ to a team in England, as he told PLZ Soccer.

Adam Idah at Celtic

“I think he has all the attributes to, not only play for Celtic and do well domestically and in the Champions League,” said McManus.

“But then go to England and the Premier League. He is 6 foot plus. He’s left-sided. Quick and physical. He scores goals and is good in the air. He has a nice touch. He has all the attributes to have two or three good seasons at Celtic and then Celtic sell him down south for £20-25 million.

“So, I think that £6-7 million could be money very well spent by Celtic.”
