Tom English has blasted Rangers for wasting “an awful lot of money” at Ibrox trying to keep up with fierce rivals Celtic.
The Gers have added nine players to Philippe Clement’s squad this summer, with Robin Pröpper the most recent arrival in Glasgow.

And English has suggested that the club’s finances are not in a good way.
Speaking on BBC Sportsound (via BBC Sport, 6 August), the journalist said, “Rangers have wasted an awful lot of money trying to keep up with Celtic. Good money following bad money.
“They have got to put the foot on the ball now and say ‘enough, it’s tim
e to rebuild’.That’s an impossible message to tell an expectant fan base. But that’s the reality. They don’t have the money.”
