Breaking News: Rangers has finally confirm the suspension of jack Butland few minutes ago…
Rangers will want to terminate the loan spell of Neraysho Kasanwirjo as soon as possible if that is their plan, Dan Plumley has said.
Feyenoord scheduled a recent meeting with the Bears over a possible termination after the defender suffered a long-term injury (Feyenoord Pings, 19 January).
Chris Jack admitted that signing Kasanwirjo permanently in the summer would be a risk now, with a parting of ways now possible this week.
Plumley, a football finance expert, admits it is sensible to have a clause that allows Rangers to terminate that loan, especially if the risk is too high after injury.
“I think if you’re going to make that decision, you want to make it as early as possible,” he exclusively told Ibrox News.
“There is a risk in all transfers, as we have said several times, and having that loan-to-buy option is a positive, but it can also allow you to make moves inside that window whereby if something does wrong you can terminate it immediately.
Rangers to terminate Neraysho Kasanwirjo deal?
“That is a good option as well to have a get-out, that is sensible, certainly if the risk is too high, it is better to get it done now.
“I would suggest that it is a sensible move if you’re quite clear that it may not work out and the risk is too high, then better to put it to bed now.”
With Rafael Fernandes already signed on loan as a possible replacement, Kasanwirjo’s possible early return to his parent club could open up another transfer spot.
Philippe Clement and Nils Koppen will be keeping their options open but this is certainly one to watch ahead of the quickly approaching 3 February transfer deadline.
In other Rangers news, the Gers have been offered this player on a loan-to-buy deal.
