Breaking News: Nottingham forest best player have decided to leave and never return
Nottingham Forest are getting closer to an agreement with Talleres for forward Ramón Sosa, with a deal likely to cost €15-16m.
That’s according to journalist Hugo Garcia, who reports that the two sides are in ‘closer positions’ than they once were.
Nottingham Forest have been closing in on a deal for Sosa since the end of last month, with talks opened and progressing since the 24th.
Their first bid was believed to have been insufficient, but a report earlier today indicated that things were progressing as the player had travelled with Talleres president Andrés Fassi to finalise a move.
That report claimed a $14m bid was on the table, but why that would have been accepted after it was made clear such a figure wasn’t acceptable was not made clear.
Garcia has now provided his own information, reporting that Nottingham Forest and Talleres are in ‘closer positions’ than they once were for Sosa.
He adds that the forward could soon travel to England with Fassi to seal the move, contradicting the idea that the pair had already travelled.
According to his information Talleres are seeking a minimum of $15-16m for the Argentine, so that would suggest Nottingham Forest have upped their previous bid to try and push things along.
Either way there is confidence that the deal can be done, and Nuno Espirito Santo will have his latest addition sooner rather than later.
