Breaking News: Newcastle star refuses to sign a new deal and is determined to leave the club…
Newcastle United could raid Spanish side Real Sociedad for another star striker following their success with Alexander Isak.
The £63m transfer fee paid for Alexander Isak by Newcastle United in 2022 has turned out to be a complete bargain with the Swedish star now considered one of the best players in the Premier League.
In the past two and a half years, his value has almost tripled with Newcastle demanding £150m for Isak amid interest from Arsenal. Even if a club did table a £150m offer, there’s a good chance Newcastle would reject it.
With Callum Wilson’s contract expiring this year, Newcastle are once again on the lookout for a new striker who can provide competition for Isak up front.
Newcastle’s recent transfer strategy has been to invest in up-and-coming stars and it seems the club has their sights set on another star in Sociedad.

Newcastle United a possible landing spot for Orri Oskarsson
Icelandic striker Orri Oskarsson has been attracting interest after impressing in Spain this season.
The 20-year-old joined Real Sociedad from Copenhagen last summer in a £17m move and has already scored 10 goals across all competitions in his debut season.
Oskarsson featured on the Daily Mail’s list of the best Scandinavian wonderkids and Newcastle were mentioned as a potential destination for the young forward alongside the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City.
He is described in the report as “a classic No.9 with the athleticism to stretch defences and intelligence to link the play.”
After the success of bringing Isak to Tyneside following his impressive spell in Sociedad, Newcastle could repeat that trick and pursue a deal for Oskarsson.
Orri Oskarsson is a ‘jewel’ rated higher than Rasmus Hojlund
Before joining Sociedad, Oskarsson spent four years at Danish side Copenhagen where he spent two years in the academy before breaking through to the first team.
In his 38 senior appearances for Copenhagen, the young striker scored an impressive 15 goals.
