Breaking News: matt O’Riley offered ‘record-breaking’deal as new celtic plan revealed

Fringe man Luis Palma has been rinsed by Celtic legend John Hartson for his performance levels following his cryptic social media moves.

The 24-year-old has struggled to make a mark for the Hoops so far this season – making his first start of the campaign during a disappointing display in the Premier Sports Cup victory over Falkirk. After being hooked after 60 minutes the Honduran took frustrations online as he declared he would remain resilient on his Instagram – leading some Celtic fans to compare Palma to former Rangers’ man Todd Cantwell, who was heavily criticised for his posts to social media during his time at Ibrox.

But with speculation intensifying that the winger could be moved on in January, unimpressed Hartson slammed the showings from Palma in green and white. The Welshman told Go Radio: “He doesn’t make things happen enough. When he gets the ball a good winger gets a cross in – that’s the least you have got to do – for the striker’s to go and attack, or be more positive and get to the byline and cut inside. For me I am watching him thinking ‘go, make something happen’ and it just comes to nothing. For me as a winger Palma doesn’t do enough. He is just too wasteful.”

Discussing if opponents had figured out the wide man the Celtic legend responded: “He has got to figure out a different way to play and make an impact in the team. You can’t just say he has been figured out. It is down to Luis Palma to try something different.”

While one forward is fighting for his future, the Scottish Premiership champions appear to be eyeing another deal. Reports in Sweden suggest Celtic are escalating their interest in Bazoumana Toure.
