BEST SIGNING EVER;Leeds United has finally signed their dream player-Largie Ramazani

Leeds United new signing Largie Ramazani has claimed he is open to “changing nationality” to help excel his international career.

Ramazani, a former Manchester United youth prospect, returned to the north of England with a £10million move to Elland Road from Almeria late last month.

Having made his debut in the win over Hull City, the Belgian youth international is open to assessing his options if he cannot work a way into the senior side.

Speaking to BBC West Yorkshire Sport Daily [11 September], Ramazani said: “I still have the objective to be in the Belgium national team.

“I feel like if I play well I’ll get the chance – if not, I’ll wait.

“Then if it just doesn’t happen, I’ll just have to change nationality.”

Largie Ramazani is a homegrown player at Leeds United

Due to spending more than five years of his football upbringing in England – spending time with Charlton Athletic before moving to Old Trafford – Ramazani qualifies as one of Leeds United’s homegrown players.

This would qualify the 23-year-old wide man to represent England, as well as his native Belgium – who he has represented up to Under-21 level.

Ramazani can also turn out for Burundi, from where his parents originate, and for whom his elder brother Diamant already has seven caps.

Notable players to represent the African nation are captain Saido Berahino and Gael Bigirimana, who have each had careers in English football.

Ramazani has a chance to shine and earn himself a Championship promotion medal, and if he can continue some excellent form into the Premier League after next summer, that breakthrough may just arrive.
