Bamford can wave goodbye to Leeds as Premier League transfer news emerges

Patrick Bamford could wave goodbye to Leeds United in January if Daniel Farke loans in a forward from a Premier League side.

The 31-year-old is yet to make a Championship start this season and is without a goal since April, summing up his issues at Elland Road.

The ex-England international has become third choice behind Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph so a move away in January could prove to make sense for all parties.

A potential departure from LS11 could be forced through in winter if a new forward comes in on loan.

Patrick Bamford could leave Leeds United after January transfer update

There has been no lack of new options being rumoured to be making a move to Leeds in recent weeks with Maccabi Tel Aviv striker Dor Turgeman linked [Sport5].

Although this could prove to be an exciting deal, fans are likely to be more receptive to a deal to sign Louie Barry on loan from Aston Villa.

The Englishman has had an electric start to the campaign with Stockport County where he has scored 14 and assisted one in 19 League One appearances.

The Whites have now joined a host of clubs interested in signing the 21-year-old on loan in January with the Villans looking for their youngster to take the next step in his development [TEAMtalk].

If Farke is to add the ex-Barcelona man to his squad in the January window, this would surely be the last straw for Bamford at Elland Road.

The Premier League loanee would likely take priority for minutes ahead of the 31-year-old who would likely want to leave to earn more regular game time elsewhere.

In other Leeds United news, a journalist has said that Leeds have proved Chris Wilder right after what they did.
