Aberdeen star Duk warns Celtic ‘the war is not over’
The Portuguese attacker took to his Instagram story in the wake of the Hoops’ 6-0 victory over the Dons at Hampden in the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup on Saturday night.
Brendan Rodgers‘ side swept the Pittodrie outfit aside with ease at the national stadium, as Daizen Maeda scored an impressive hat-trick in Glasgow’s southside.
The result came just two weeks after Jimmy Thelin’s men pulled off an outstanding two-goal comeback at Celtic Park to maintain pace with the Scottish Premiership champions on league business at the top of the table.
He wrote: “Proud to be a part of this team, we lost a battle but the war is not over. Thank you for the support. We go again Saturday.”
Aberdeen could go to the top of the table outright with a victory or a draw against Dundee on Saturday.
Celtic then face a trip to Rugby Park on Sunday afternoon to face Derek McInnes’ Kilmarnock.
