SO SAD;Rangers attacker Sam Lammers announces his departure few minutes ago..
Rangers forward Sam Lammers is set to undergo a medical at FC Twente after agreeing the terms of a move, sources have told Football Insider.
The attacking midfielder has finalised the agreement of a three-year deal as he puts the finishing touches to a move from Ibrox.
It is understood that the Scottish giants have accepted a £2.5million offer, which will rise to £3.5m with add-ons.
The 27-year-old joined Rangers last summer for £3.5m, but spent the second half of the campaign on loan at utrecht.
Lammers impressed during his time away and built, scoring 11 goals in 20 games.
Even though Lammers appears set to join FC Twente, other Eredivisie sides have expressed interest after his performances last season.
Rangers will be able to use Sam Lammers cash to reinvest in the squad
Rangers boss Philippe Clement has made it clear that the club cannot afford to sign any players this summer without selling current squad members.
The Gers are under financial pressure at the moment, which is impacting their transfer business this summer.
Considering Lammers only scored twice in 31 appearances for Rangers, his transfer won’t come as a huge surprise to many fans.
Albion Rrahmani could replace Lammers, as Football Insider previously revealed the Gers are interested in him.
However, his £5million price tag could prove to be problematic for Rangers in getting the deal over the line.
The teenager is under contract at Motherwell until 2026, but Rangers have reportedly been scouting him.
Philippe Clement is aiming to bolster his squad this summer in a bid to provide even more competition to Celtic next season.
Miller impressed last season in the Scottish Premiership by becoming a regular feature in the Motherwell side.
He made 32 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring once while providing three assists.
