SHOCKING NEWS;Talented winger from Celtic signs a contract with Rangers-LUIS PALMA

LUIS PALMA has taken a big decision on his Celtic future, according to reports in his homeland.

And it’s much bigger than simply not posting on social media anymore.

The Hoops winger has elected to scale back from his online presence “to focus on recovering his performance level”.

Palma arrived in Glasgow a year ago – having previously been heavily linked with Rangers.

Celtic agreed a £3.4 million with Greek side Aris Salonika for the then 23-year-old and he was quick to repay his price-tag with two goals in his first three games of the SPFL Premiership.

However a barren spell followed from mid-December where Palma was only on target another three times and failed to complete 90 minutes on all but two occasions.

He still contributed 10 goals and the same number of assists through his first season in Scotland.

But this season began the same way as the last ended – only much less fruitful with barely 106 minutes played across all competitions and NO goal contributions.

He was linked with an exit to the Bundesliga or France’s Ligue 1 in the closing stages of the transfer window but Celtic “were not looking to sell”.

That didn’t stop Premier Sports pundit Michael Stewart tipping the winger to be shipped out in January instead, on the back of his dip in form.

He told The Scottish Football Social Club: “I’ve got to be honest, I’m struggling to see how he’s going to be able to make his way back because the competition is tough.

“I don’t see how he’s going to be making his way back at Celtic. I would not be surprised come January if he was being moved on elsewhere because I don’t see him having the impact that would’ve hoped for and expected.”

Palma himself was forced to deny rumours of being unhappy earlier in the summer too insisting he had “no idea where that came from”.
