BREAKING NEWS;Nottingham Forest announces resignation of Tom Cartledge as chairman

Nottingham Forest has today confirmed that Tom Cartledge will step down from his role as Chairman of the Club with immediate effect in order to dedicate more time to the running of his family businesses.

Tom leaves the role with the thanks and best wishes of everyone connected to the Club. He will remain on the Board of Directors and continue to support Forest’s growth strategy off the pitch.

Tom was appointed at the start of the 2023/24 season, with a specific focus on supporting the Club’s desire to redevelop The City Ground and build closer relationships with the city and its fan base.

Nottingham Forest is pleased to announce the reappointment of Nicholas Randall KC as Chairman. Nicholas held the office for six years following the acquisition of the Club by Evangelos Marinakis in 2017. Over the past 12 months he has continued to play an instrumental role on the Board of Directors, leading on governance and legal matters.

Speaking of his decision to step down, Tom Cartledge said: “I have had an incredible experience over the last 15 months, working for the club I love and have supported all my life.

“It has been an honour and a privilege to help deliver on Mr Marinakis’ ambitious plans for the future of our Club and I am proud of the progress we have achieved together on a number of key projects.

“Over the last year and a half we have taken significant steps in securing the Club’s future at an expanded City Ground and I will now continue to advise the owners on the real estate strategy whilst spending more time working in my family business.

“Under Mr Marinakis the Club is in great hands to continue our journey back to the top of English football and I look forward to doing all I can to make this happen.”
