Breaking news: for Celtic he will never return
Celtic will face Aberdeen in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final at Hampden after their thrilling victory over Falkirk yesterday, which saw them through to the last four.
It has already been released that ties will take place on the weekend beginning November 2nd, with Rangers pitted against Motherwell in the other clash.
Now, it has been confirmed that kick-off will be on that date at 5.30 pm, with Celtic billed for the evening slot against Jimmy Thelin’s high-flying outfit at the national stadium.
Both sides have made a fantastic start to the Scottish Premiership season by winning their first five matches. They face each other at Celtic Park in league action on October 19th, providing the perfect sample of what to expect at Hampden.
Television details have also been confirmed ahead of what is set to be a mouthwatering encounter with a place in the final at stake.

Celtic are in Champions League action against RB Leipzig on Tuesday of that midweek, giving them time to prepare. At the same time, Rangers vs Motherwell had to be slotted for Sunday amid the former’s European involvement.
Nevertheless, having the opportunity to compete on a Saturday night for a place in the final is a win for match-going supporters, who will be enthusiastic about the opportunity to enjoy their day at the national stadium under the lights rather than the game being scheduled earlier on the day.
Hopefully, Celtic can prevail on what is set to be an exciting occasion in early November, where they will hope to take one step closer to winning their first silverware of the season.
This year, the final of the competition is on December 15th. Brendan Rodgers will have his sights fixed on making sure his side are there.
