Breaking News:Czech winger Cerny looks set to join Rangers in loan move
Rangers are close to securing a season-long loan deal for Czech international winger Vaclav Cerny.
The 26-year-old signed for Wolfsburg last summer, but was unable to secure a regular starting place in the Bundesliga side.
Reports in Germany claim that Cerny – who scored a late Europa League winner for former club Ajax at Celtic Park in 2015 – will fly to Glasgow to complete formalities on a one-year agreement.
Required to sell before he can buy, Ibrox boss Philippe Clement has also been linked with a loan move for Sevilla midfielder Joan Jordan.
According to reports in Spanish media, however, the La Liga club would want Rangers to cover 60 per cent of the 30-year-old Spaniard’s salary and agree to a mandatory purchase fee of £3million next summer.
Clement is keen to strengthen his squad, with a potential move for 21-year-old Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri on the radar, too.
