Ibrox

Rangers’ Ibrox stadium

King has experience of winning at Ibrox and that cannot be undervalued. Whether or not he could repeat the work that made him so successful in his first stint is unclear, but on paper, it does seem like it would have been a sensible appointment.

Philippe Clement’s side need to find a new chairman and CEO sooner rather than later. Above the manager, there is very little structure at the football club and while that remains the case, it is going to be hard to catch the Hoops.
