Everton stance revealed by Finance Expert after Leicester City avoid points deduction

Everton and Nottingham Forest will not have any grounds for a comeback or be able to take action despite Leicester City avoiding a points deduction, according to Kieran Maguire.

The finance expert claims that this is because the two sides were shareholders of the Football Association Premier League Ltd on 30 June 2023.

Leicester managed to avoid it as they showed that they had breached rules in the season they were not a Premier League side.

Via X, Maguire wrote: “I do not think so, both Everton and Forest were shareholders in the Football Association Premier League Ltd at 30 June 2023.”

The situation with Leicester City avoiding a points deduction for breaching financial rules, while the Toffees and Nottingham Forest were penalised, highlights a significant inconsistency in how financial regulations are applied within the Premier League.
