Rangers legend Ally McCoist shares rare picture with his son as stunned fans say ‘wow he is your double’
ALLY McCOIST is one of the most recognisable faces in the world of football these days.
From his stints on talkSPORT with Jeff Stelling and Alan Brazil, to his work as a pundit and commentator for the likes of TNT Sport – you almost can’t get away from him on European nights or Premier League match-days.
And then you’ve got his antics on Instagram.
The Rangers legend, 61, loves to keep his thousands of fans updated with his day-to-day life – whether it’d be his countless trips abroad or snaps of food, friends and family.
And in his most recent post, he shared a rare snap of his one of his five sons to his 496K followers.
Argylle McCoist, 26, is Ally’s eldest son who has been working with FirstPoint USA as a sports consultant since 2022.
But the son of the all-time record Gers goal-scorer also recently took a major step in his own football career to join Drumchapel Utd in June.
He has shown he has an eye for goal in recent years, spending the last two seasons in the junior ranks with Port Glasgow Juniors.
Now he has made the step up to Scotland’s eighth tier, where he will come up against the likes of Kyle Lafferty and Graham Dorrans who play for Johnstone Burgh in the same league.
But McCoist’s Jnr took a break from his own footie action this weekend to catch up with his dad and take in the Arsenal vs Brighton match on Saturday.
And his legendary father posted a picture of them catching up in London on Friday night, with the caption: “London called tonight for Arsenal tomorrow. Met the young yin.”
Fans quickly pointed out that not only is Argylle following in his dad’s footsteps on the pitch, but he actually looks just like Ally in his younger days at Rangers.
