SHOCKING NEWS;Sean Dyche confirmed the suspension of two key players due to..
Everton have arguably endured the worst possible start to the Premier League season, losing all three matches and shipping ten goals.
Again, the Toffees have not played terribly, but poor finishing, defensive fragility and a weak mindset have all combined to undo them on multiple occasions.
And with that, pressure on Sean Dyche is growing.
Especially when such an obvious alternative is continuously linked with the position too.
Everton consider David Moyes as Sean Dyche replacement
The latest on Everton’s managerial future comes courtesy of The Daily Mail, who have speculated one name who could take over from Sean Dyche should this misfortune persist.
They write: ‘At sunny Goodison Park, chatter about former manager David Moyes cast a long shadow over Sean Dyche as the Everton boss came to terms with an astonishing late collapse.
‘Throwing away a 2-0 lead in the 87th minute to lose 3-2 had never happened in the Premier League before, and felt more devastating as it left Everton heading into the international break without a point.
‘Moyes, who took Everton into the top four and to the FA Cup final, is available after leaving West Ham and is based in the North West.
‘It only adds to the pressure on Dyche, whose reputation for building organised and disciplined teams was at odds with the chaos of the final few minutes on Saturday.’
The 61-year-old is unlikely to invoke wholesale changes though, even if Everton’s board remain unsure about Dyche.
Micah Richards did praise Moyes’ ‘brilliant’ tactical wisdom earlier this year, though, which must count for something.
What other managers are currently free agents?
Hiring Moyes would hardly bring a breath of fresh air into Goodison Park, even if he is out of work, arguably just repeating the same cycles that continue to keep the Toffees dragged down the Premier League table.
