Rangers fans: Philippe Clement must be sacked ‘tonight’ after Celtic defeat
Rangers fans are demanding the club sack Philippe Clement “tonight” after their humiliating 3-0 defeat against Celtic at Parkhead.
Clement’s side fell to a 3-0 defeat following goals from Daizen Maeda, Kyogo Furuhashi and Callum McGregor to compound a disappointing start to the season.
His side were knocked out of Champions League qualifying over two legs against Dynamo Kyiv and have won just two of their four league games so far.
Despite a frustrating summer given the temporary move away from Ibrox and a low-spending transfer window, the pressure on the boss’ position is growing.
Now, after a thrashing away from home in the Old Firm, many supporters have come to the end of their patience and are demanding the club make a change.
Philippe Clement under pressure as Rangers fans demand he is sacked ‘today’
Clement can be considered unfortunate given the strength of the side he has inherited, as well as the financial situation at the club, but on-pitch performances are doing little to ease his burden.
He was handed a new deal during the summer which has extended his stay at Ibrox until the summer of 2028 – but fans are calling for an early end to his stay.
As pressure continues to grow, supporters have taken to social media to express their frustration in the aftermath of the derby defeat.
