Leeds United make shock second bid for £13m player as Joe Piroe offered in swap.

Leeds United are “ready” to make a £5million offer for Farense attacker Mohamed Belloumi, according to Maghrebactu.

The news outlet, with over 650,000 followers on Facebook, reported on 30 August that the Whites are stepping up their chase for the attacker.

Daniel Farke’s club are said to be the “most determined” to get a deal over the line at the last minute.

Mohamed Belloumi to sign for Leeds United

Going into the end of last season, one area of Leeds’ squad that needed no improvement was that of their attack.

However, since the summer transfer window was opened, their attacking ranks have been ransacked by Premier League clubs.

Both Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville have exited Elland Road which has left the West Yorkshire outfit with something of a void to fill.

Farke has already started to fill the gap left by the aforementioned duo by singing Largie Ramazani and Manor Solomon in the past week.

However, as Rutter and Summerville were two of the main sources for Leeds’ goals last term, it remains to be seen whether the likes of Dan James and Willy Gnonto can fulfil that need.

Hence why the addition of Belloumi would be an ideal acquisition for Farke and, to make things even sweeter, the Algeria international is only 22 years old so has plenty of room to develop.

In other Leeds news, an attacker could be allowed to leave the club.

But the Whites are hoping to potentially add further attacking reinforcements before the deadline despite securing Largie Ramazani and Manor Solomon late in the window, which could push Gelhardt further to the fringes.

Joe Gelhardt needs Leeds United move anyway

Even with Georginio Rutter leaving there is a strong argument that Gelhardt’s future should be away from Elland Road as well.
