How much Rangers will bank from Cantwell and Wright sales to fund late transfer move for Nedim Bajrami

Rangers expect Scott Wright and Todd Cantwell to complete deadline day exits – to free up money for Philippe Clement to make his own late additions.

 

Birmingham City have agreed a £300,000 deal with the Ibrox side for Wright. The attacker will now travel south to try and complete his move to the Midlands. Birmingham have already signed his former Ibrox teammate Ben Davies on-loan last week. Blackburn have also agreed a £500,000 deal with Rangers for Cantwell. Rovers have also sorted personal terms with the wantaway midfielder. The move is subject to the Blackburn owners signing the deal off. Ewood Park manager John Eustace hopes that will happen on Friday.

Rangers are still looking to do late business. Sassuolo midfielder Nedim Bajrami is a top target. Rangers want to sign the Albanian international on-loan with an option to buy in the summer. Sassuolo want to keep the 25-year-old but he is keen to move to Ibrox after their relegation to Serie B. Rangers are also looking to do late business to strengthen other areas, with a defender another Other squad players could also move outside before the window closes. Ianis Hagi is surplus to requirements but could if a deal is agreed or could even take a termination.
